Join us to participate in a discussion of the implications and responsibilities associated with telling the stories from your own community, telling stories from a community you are not part of and/or empowering others to tell their own stories. After a presentation by visiting photographer Daniella Zalcman on her “Signs of Your Identity” project, which explores the legacy of the Canadian Residential School, we will open the floor for an intimate, interactive salon discussing these timely issues.
To foster a critical conversation, we’re inviting media practitioners dedicated to increasing diversity in storytelling.
Tuesday, October 18th from 6 to 8pm
Ryerson’s Transmedia Zone located on the second floor of the Rogers Communications Centre 80 Gould Street (room RCC 230).
Please RSVP (or send any questions) to Laurence Butet-Roch, Researcher in Residence at the Transmedia Zone: firstname.lastname@example.org by October 17th.
